Title: Adjusting the tailgate
Post by: Mr_Orange on 20 November 2015, 07:32
Hi,
I recently fitted a replacement tailgate. I left the hinges attached to the car thinking that would give me correct fitment.... It hasn't and there's not enough adjustment where the 4 smaller hinge bolts fit to the lid. I dialled in the height but the front-back and left-right are still out.
I've had a look under the headlining and could crack the nuts loose to adjust, but what about the seal? Is that a gasket or some sort of silicon?
Your thoughts and experience are welcome!

No ideas peeps?
In my original post I meant seal as in where the hinges meet the roof. I think it's some sort of silicon so guess hinges/tailgate fully off cleaned up and new sealant then tweak the fit? :-/
