Can somebody tell me from when (approx car build date) you have been able to adjust the volume of the soundaktor in driver profile?
Thanks.

If yours has the MY2016 changes including the bigger screen then you'll have the adjustment capability. So BW22 this year.

As above from wc 25th May 2015. The BW22 2016 MIB2 changes allowed the ability to adjust the soundaktor in Individual mode via the Driver Mode button. It's called Interior Engine Sound and can be set to Sport, Normal and Eco and appears down towards the bottom of the list as follows.
DCC
Steering
Drive
ACC
Dynamic cornering light
Air con

So if sport goes "BRRRRROOOOM BRRRRROOOM!" and normal goes "Brooom"
What noise does "Eco" make... whale song? Trickling water? Hippies chanting oooommmmmm?
:D

Joking and frivolity aside.
In terms of loudness, IMO:
Sport - VERY loud to the point where the cabin vibrates and rattles. Forget your music or turn it up to MAX. Intrusive to conversation a little.
Normal - still quite loud but no vibration, can still hear music but crank up the volume a bit.
Eco - quiet (about 25% volume) and no interference when listening to music, i.e, music can be enjoyed at normal volumes.
I'm really pleased VW saw fit to introduce a bit of flexibility. I have used the soundaktor in all of the above, depending on what mood I'm in but the most used are Eco and Normal. Sport ok for short, wild, lone journeys!
