Title: MK5 GTI misfire, lean condition but no codes - replaced EVERYTHING!!!!!
Post by: Iceman999 on 14 November 2015, 21:20
Hi all, first ever post on this forum so hope you can help?!?!?
Got a mk5 GTI that developed a misfire, running rich and exhaust note went slightly deeper. Had it looked at by a number of independents who read codes and replaced the necessaries. Now got no codes but still chugging along and get high on petrol fumes every time I drive it! I've replaced the following - MAF sensor, PCV, coil packs, plugs, valve cover gasket (fouled plugs and packs). Was showing codes for low voltage to MAF so had auto elec check it over but came back with clean bill of health. It's been smoke tested numerous times but no obvious vacuum leaks. Also threw an ignition system cleaner in for good measure but no joy. Running out of ideas so any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks. 😩😩😩😩
