Title: Mk6 steering wheel change
Post by: Jamie252 on 14 November 2015, 20:55
Hello

Have just brought a 2010 Mk6 TSI and am looking to change standard non-MFSW over for Mk6 GTI MFSW.

Done a bit of research to improve my lack of knowledge and steering module probably needs replacing from CQ to CD. I may get an auto-scan to confirm I have CQ and what steering angle I currently have.

I am hoping the controls are then compatible and wondered if flappy paddle would also work?

I plan to swap the cover over including the airbag from original which should be like-for-like.

Any advice would be appreciated

If this has been posted before please drop link - first post so a little lost!

Cheers
Jamie

Best advice is seek out a retro fitter, they will know all the answers to your questions and probably can provide part numbers for things you'll need.
