Title: Exhaust engineering 101
Post by: DubFan on 09 November 2015, 09:44
If you're at all interested in modifying your car, the subject of exhausts always comes up.

Here's a good (if long) video about the engineering of exhausts for performance. Quite interesting if you're looking at a 4 to 1 manifold or a 4:2:1 manifold.

(Be warned, it is in American, but it makes sense)

Interesting. Video was longer than I was expecting, but yeah, good to watch.

Unfortunately it also reminds me that I need to replace my exhaust. Not that you ever want to cheap out on an exhaust, but if I can save myself some money I will. Getting parts from the garage always seems to be hella expensive. Came across this company for parts (http://car-parts.mister-auto.co.uk/en/exhaust_lc6/), and they seem to have what I need for my 97 VW Golf, but have no experience with them. Anyone used them before and can tell me if the experience was good or not?
