Title: Its went with a bang

Looking for anyone pt me in direct of uprated or stronger gearbox for mk4, pushed mine last night and ripped teeth of 5th gear was doing approx 80 floored it and went bang. Any suggestions??? car will come off now till next year spring/summer tax/mot up dec.

Sorry to hear about your gearbox! I know http://www.bar-tek-tuning.com/ do performance gearboxes, some that can handle up to 1000nm  :laugh:

Very good quality parts have bought from there before, hope this helps.

Ended up with low miler 02j and changed 5th gear ratio with diesel .681 much better cruising on motorway now. At 70 doing 2700rpm than near 3000rpm.
