Is anyone else experinecing this? My seat has been fine but in the last 2 weeks has become very uncomfortable over the same short trips that I do. It has not been adjusted in anyway since I set it up on purchase. Just can't put my finger on the issue  Seems to be the lower R/H side near the hip area but on the seat base where it holds on the hips /upper leg not the back all very strange. I am 6ft & 12st 8 so not a big guy really.
Help or advice pls

Good point.......but both already are out......& empty

Perhaps the seat has settled a bit from new due to use and now needs some more fine adjustment. I get a bit of hip pain on the right but from longer journeys and think it's due to the angle of my foot against the accelerator pedal. You may need to adjust the seat to give more support under the thigh as your leg might be tense causing the strain on the hip. Often where the discomfort is is not where the problem is if you see what I mean.

Yes good point I will have a play around, although I am the second owner & purchased the car @ 9 months old with 13K on it so I guess the seat should have settled by then with that amount of miles? Also I understand the previous owner went to a Q7

I presume you haven't been in for a service in this time?
At my last service the mechanic put my seat on one of the highest positions (why do they have to fiddle?) I'm embarrssed to admit it was a couple of months before I realised! I couldn't figure out why my hair kept brushing the roof, and thought it must have been my change in hairstyle
I best take a ruler to the next service...
Other than that, is it possible it's, ahem... not the car hide but your hide... been working out recently etc etc!

Like your thinking but I marked the rails with permanant pen to stop the whole mechanic move it & forget syndrome  Obvious does not help for height or back rest  Keep my work outs to a fair low impact due to being a retired self defence instructor (50 next year!!!). Its all very strange the seat foam seems good the support metal bars are hidden well deep. Guess I will just have to fiddle around a bit more. I do miss my comfort electric seats from my BMW with 30 positions per button

Is amazing how your whole enjoyment of the car can be ruined by something as simple as having the seat in the wrong place. Took me several wks to find the 'right' position for me in my Mk 7 GTD (not least because of the switch away from floor hinged accelerator that I had in my pervious Mk 6 GTD, which I felt required a slightly different seating position). I only ever had one car with elec memory seats and I do miss the range of adjustment they give (and the extending seat squabs for support under the thighs).
As for the driver's seat itself in the Mk 7 GTD (I have the leather) I have found it pretty comfortable so far (my car is 14 plate 16k miles in) but then my commute is only 1/2 hr each way so not long enough to hurt I guess.
