Title: Finish Kare 1000p high temp wax - good for the bodywork too?
Post by: Watts on 19 October 2015, 20:28
I bought a tub of this wax for my wheels and a great job it seems to have done! They have a great shine and are really easy to clean. It was also very quick to apply, buffed off easily and water beads well.

So, has anyone tried this on their car's bodywork? The tub is a good size and two coats on my wheels has barely left a mark in the product so I reckon at that rate the tub will outlast me let alone the car so seems a shame to not use it more. Also, I have sealed the paintwork with Gtechniq C2v3, any reason why the 1000p won't go on top?

Thanks

My absolute favourite detailing product I've used so far! Yes it's brilliant for paintwork and gives great results and durability!

Also little wax/sealant comparison I did here (Fk1000p is the winner ):http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=269880.0 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=269880.0)

Seabrook - that's excellent, thanks very much! I was wondering how I was ever going to use it all. I think I'll try and get a second coat of the C2v3 on tomorrow then next week a couple of coats of the FK1000P.

Now that is really keen! The only stuff on my barbecue in layers is rust and cobwebs!
