With the incoming arrival of my new car within the next 3-4 weeks I just wondered what everyone's opinions were on VWs next move?
Will they launch new deals etc to win buyers over, or will they do nothing.
I read there that VW America is now offering $2000.00 towards all new petrol cars including the R to all existing VW customers looking to purchase a new one!!
If there's any future deals to be had I want a slice of it

Hope the uk does not offer the same deal here in the future as I have placed an order today for a new R and part exchanging my 2014 GTD, not for the reasons of the emissions scam. just do not do enough miles to warrent having a diesel.

Cossieian: They will do what they have to do to keep sale buoyant, and nothing more. If the scandal doesn't blunt people's enthusiasm for VWs in the UK then they'll offer nowt extra as incentive. If you've received your car before the new offer arrive (if they do) then again you'll get nowt.

Wag29, what do you mean by not enough miles to justify a diesel, the fuel is the same price or cheaper and out of the three cars in the range it's cheapest to buy...

Sorry its just the way I worded it, when I said I don't do enough miles to warrant a diesel what I really meant is that I am only a weekend driver and don't use my car during the weekdays, and I don't do many motorway miles and do more short journeys than long ones and I know that is not good for diesel engines with DPFs fitted thus I think a petrol car would be more beneficial and being an R that's on order more fun and a better sound http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/Smileys/modern/grin.gifhttp://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/Smileys/modern/grin.gif

Hopefully I can get a good deal. Had one of those affected Rocco's from a dealer before my GTI so might just mention that. Really impressed with the quality and drive from the cars.
