Title: Plastic trim rear of boot around lock pin
Post by: richie2480 on 02 October 2015, 21:03
Hi all, Need a bit of help. The plastic trim at the rear of the boot that covers inside rear between lights and around lock pin. What the hell is it called? I've googled it and come up with the following
"VW GOLF MK2 REAR BOOT OPEN SILL COVER CAP TRIM STRIP VINYL BLACK PLASTIC"
Mine is ok but the clips are missing that holds it in place and sometimes catches on stuff I take out of the boot. Anybody know what clips they are and where I can find them. I thought I'd found them but they are the ones that hold the boot carpet trim in place. Want the clips so I can save the plastic from getting trashed as i know they are like rocking horse sh!t to find.

Cheers Richard

You want Black "Christmas tree clips" A visit to your local VW dealer should have you sorted, measure the diameter of the hole in the rear panel, 8 or 9mm at a guess, the clips are not unique to the Mk2, and are still widely used across the VW range
