Title: VW offer change Oct 15
Post by: Bonehead on 02 October 2015, 10:05
I have noticed that the current GTI PCP deal has improved slightly on the VW site. The APR has dropped from 6.2% to 4.9% still being offered with £1250 VW contribution and service pack for £149. I ordered my new motor a couple of weeks ago after going through orange wheels and dealing with inchape swindon. The car is due for delivery end of Oct on the old offer. Does anyone know if they will give me the improved deal? I have emailed the dealer still waiting for a reply. Just wondered if anyone else has had this while waiting for their car to arrive.

Interestingly the deals on the GTD don't appear to have changed!!!

If you're prepared to go through the finance approval again there's no reason they shouldn't give you access to the revised terms. If personal circumstances haven't changed to affect your credit rating, you should be fine to go through another credit check.

When I ordered mine the dealer said that if the deals improved then I would get transferred to that.

I have dealt directly with the dealer rather than through a third party.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info,

I have now recieved the new deal. It will save me £20 a month.

Unfortunately the planned build has slipped, it now looks like I will have to wait until the end of November for collection at the dealer!

GFV is the same as before on this new deal. Just a reduction in rate which helps a little!

The wait for the new motor is killing me!

Wait until you know it's in the dealer and then explain to him that yore gonna cancel it and then take new deal? Totally unethical but it might work

I got moved onto the new deal no problem and the GFV is also the same as before.

I didn't really need to ask to change so there wasn't any need for underhand cancelling techniques.

My dealer was fine just moved me onto new deal as well.

Unfortunately the build date looks like it may have slipped again!

Originally placed deposit late September jumped onto the back of a dealer demo pre order due October with colour and spec I wanted.
Then moved back to unconfirmed build date 44, spoke with VW uk reference potential spec change post BW45 today and was told now have a unconfirmed build date of week 47 which means potential delivery just before Christmas! Unless it goes back again.

VW state no change to GTI or R BW45 onwards.

Have a real dilemma which I discussed with my dealer, do I continue and register in the new year. I have asked if there is anything else with similar spec they can get sooner.

On the plus side my px price on the Honda Civic stands despite the delay.
