Title: 6 weeks in
Post by: jpo on 18 September 2015, 17:10
Hi everyone!

Not been on here for a while and am useless with technology, so apologies, no pictures, but, after 6 weeks....

-Sat Nav is a bit ropey
-MPG isn't perfect
-that space under the seat seems a bit pointless

but...
OH MY GOD I love my GTI!!! What a car! The power is wonderful, the comfort, the look. The kids I teach think it's amazing, yet it's not showy at all. Seriously, very impressed.

The joy I get from driving it is so much greater than the BMW I owned and the acceleration is fantastic.

The MPG should improve as you tot the miles up.What colour, spec did you get?
I bet the kids you teach could show you how to display pics up.

hi

I got it in night blue and the spec was standard. Really enjoying the heated seats! You're quite right! I should ask the kids.

Well said AndyG!

I was thinking the same thing.

And congrats jpo, the GTI increasingly lives in the shadow of all the sub brands VW keeps throwing our way but truth of the matter is it's a fantastic all rounder and huge fun to drive.

Your homework is thus: get some pics up!
And don't be a stranger. Once every six weeks needs to be improved upon so I'm giving you a D and expect better effort this term...

A D :-(

Right, I'll get pictures sorted!
Just a bit blown away by what a fantastic drive it is and how it handles! I think cleverer and more experienced people than me discuss tyres and modifications, but as a simple person, I just love the....growl! That's the word! The way it overtakes is fantastic!

It cartainly seems like you're making the most of it anyway! I wish I'd had a cool teacher like you!
Don't go getting done for speeding though - the school governors won't be impressed if your name gets in the local paper!!!
