Title: BROKEN SPRING
Post by: MEZZA22 on 16 September 2015, 20:35
Just been told I have a broken rear coil spring - drivers side - quoted £118.00 by VW for one side- just wondering is it better to replace both sides and could this price be reduced and what people have paid for an independant to fit.
car is 2009 GTi - 62000 miles

Cheers

Always replace springs both sides. Once had a super dooper motorcycle mechanic replace one of my fork seals on one side while i supplied both seals. Never went back to him!

Surely it's an excuse to buy a set of Eibach or H&R springs?
