Title: Urgent Help-Map SD card

I am wondering if anyone can help me with my map / nav issue.  VW are happy to replace the nav unit but they need the SD card with the maps on that apparently comes with every new car as the new unit will not be pre-loaded as it is done at PPI stage by the selling dealer.  Unfortunately this was the only thing that I didn't get from the previous owner! 

Is it possible to borrow anyone's sd card if available?  It needs to be an SD card for discovery pro nav from new apparently.  Happy to cover special del each way for the SD card, as the car is going in this Saturday for the new unit.

Pro navs do not come with the SD card, i've had 3 Golfs with pro nav and none have had a card with them, i pretty sure they're not required.

Yeah can confirm what Jimble said. Nav pro doesn't come with SD card and its rather worrying that your dealer thinks they do!!

Thanks to you both for confirmation just had this also confirmed by VW parts.  I guess the dealer is getting mixed up between the pro and media systems.

Only Discovery Nav uses maps on SD as there is no internal storage capacity, unlike the Nav Pro which stores both the maps and software updates internally.
