Put it into one of them 'we buy any sh!tty car' online calculators. Then put 30-50% on top of that.
BTW 26k in 3 years on a diesel, personally I would not buy if I saw this on the internet.... why drive a diesel for <9k miles a year ;)

Look on Pistonheads and Autotrader at comparable mileage and spec models and see what they are up for privately. That's your competition.

Mine does less than 5,000 miles a year, but before you say anything about DPFs etc... those miles mostly consist of long journeys. They are just few and far between.
We both prefer driving diesels and as I mostly drive my Passat, when I occasionally do put diesel in the Golf, I can put it through my business accounts against the Passat's running costs.
-
Wasn't even thinking DPF, more like why dry a car with a tractor engine  if you only do 9k miles and could just get a petrol, overall running costs are only marginally higher. Though if you can put some through your business then it makes sense ;)

I guess it's a rural thing.
With regards to putting the second cars fuel through my business, the tax man knows I have a diesel Passat, so would smell a rat if I claimed to have put petrol in it.
