hi
I was wondering iff anyone has any pics of a mk4 gt tdi 150 (or any other mk4 that has the same standard suspension set up) with 18's and standard suspension. Just wondering how they look because im looking to get some in the future but dont really wanna go to the trouble of lowering my car (been there done that), just dont want it to look like a 4x4 tho
All pics greatfully received

ive havent got 18"s but ive got pics of mine with a -40mm drop and now pics of it with diffo 17"s and loads lower since coil overs...
im sure some one will have some pics of 18"s on standard ride height, think it might look a bit 4x4 though on standard.....

how long was it before you lowered it after fitting your wheels gaz?
i lowered mine a few days after getting it then banged me 17"s on, i was scared of the 4x4 look so lowered it 1st!!
i think if you lower em sensibly with the right spring/shock combo you dont interfere woth the ride quality... my lowered springs were ok for a start then the standard dampers started to give up the ghost!!, now i have the coil overs on its a bit... er.. well not too bad but its lost its comfort appeal....

Mine was riding high for about 7 months, til i could afford coilovers

:undecided: getting my RS6 18" wheels fitted tomorrow but have standard VW suspension right now.....just wondering, i don't want to drop it on its face and want to keep some ride quality if i can so will the Koni/Eibach springs which lower the car about 30-40mm do the job or do i really need to start saving for coilovers??? many thanks. :undecided:

the spring/damper combo you are on about will be fine, will drop it just a tad and you should notice better road holding/handling with out sacrificing comfort
