Title: What is this port for, and should there be something connected to it?

Hi guys,

Having issues at the minute with boost and oil leaking from various places, and i believe they are related to the PCV. So whilst under the bonnet trying to figure out my problems, i noticed this little fellow sat there with nothing connected to it. Now, I'm almost certain there should be some form of filter or pipe connected to it? Can anybody advise what it is / or does, and if so, where it should go to?  :smiley:

My 2010 gti is the same aswell i always fort sumert was missinh aswell

Anybody had any experience in dealing with the front and rear PCV valve assembly? My turbo housing is full of oil, as is the joint on the TIP. Sounds like theres a possibility of the PCV being shot. Was looking into either replacing with newer revision, or maybe blanking off the PCV full stop. Or even going for an oil catch can setup? Not sure which way to go. Either way, think i need to sort something sooner rather than later  :undecided:

If the intake pipe seal is leaking then this effects the draw of oil vapour into the turbo from the pcvs. That seal needs fixing.
Mine had similar issues. I also have an issue with the yellow seal on the diverter valve not sealing causing the same issue with that location filling will oil due to loss of pressure and causing the oil vapour to turn to oil and not been sucked into the turbo to be burnt.

as for the original question mines like that 2010 model and Kens a 2012 model was also like that.
