Title: Engine Bay Cleaning?

Hi,
      I want to clean the engine bay. I'd like to know what (if anything at all) you cover to protect from water? I'll be using a hose, not a pressure washer.

I've got some Auto Finesse Verso APC and will probably buy AF Dressle to finish it off.

I've never used water on my engine bay, just plenty of Aerospace 303 Protectant spray (wiped off with various cloths) has always done the job well.  Also sometimes use Dressle too which I also like.

Plenty of APC mate, don't bother soaking the bay with water as it'll have little to no effect.

I'd perhaps dress the bay then once it's totally dry with a dressing such as Meguairs.
