Title: Help - Best rear LED lights for MK6 GTD
Post by: Thatsnotme on 18 August 2015, 16:07
Hopefully purchasing a MK6 GTD in the next few days, unfortunately it doesn't come with the rear led lights. Which are the best ones to go for?

eBay item number: 171832980279

or a set from xenonz

If anyone else knows of some decent RHD sets (so I dont need to mess around) please let me know

A few of us recently went for Xenonz, post should be somewhere below. The Autoteile lights (eBay listing on the last post) are for LHD cars. I asked them if they would convert to RHD and they refused. I couldn't be bothered to convert them, it can be done but it's fiddly.

In the end, ordered Xenonz ones. Quality is fine for replicas and easy to fit (although you have to play around a bit for the positioning). Originals are 500+ and for me these do the job. Remember you're not even going to be seeing them while driving :P

Think I'll go for the xenonz, do you have a pic of them on your car?

They only take 3-4 days from german to arrive fitting arnt spot on but are very close for reps

A few of us went for the Xenonz ones as like people have said, they are not 100% perfect but for the price and the fact they are UK based and you can speak to them if issues, I was more than happy with them.

Fitment is about 90% perfect...requires a few adjustments and tweaks (depends how OCD you are about it!) but once they are on you are happy as they are so much better than the old style lights.

Ebay ones are probably ok too - but I just didn't want the hassle of buying LHD ones or swapping wires over as to me that is just something I would easily mess up!

I will try to get pics up once the rain stops!
