I kerbed one of my alloys (standard 18's on the Gti) early on in my cars life and it has bugged me for ages!
now it looks like its got a touch of white worm around the damaged area....can these wheels be refurbed or is it a case of a new wheel?
based in the north east of england so no idea of available repair places up here!

I should imagine it can easily be refurbished by a specialist company who refurb diamond cut wheels, such as Lepsons or Pristine. Don't know about what's in your local area but the 2 below are renowned alloy repairers who can do diamond cut wheel. Neither are near you but both offer free courier/carriage so you can send the wheel away to them.

A1 Wheels in Wolverhampton have got good feedback on MK5 forum. They seem to be experts in refurbing the Monza Diamond Cut wheels which are not that different to the Austins.
