Sold my Feb 15 MK7 GTI 3dr PP, TR, 19'", winter pack and reverse camera, some say I am mad, but I do this regularly. I had it 6mths and covered 3.5k, MK7 GTI is s great car, now the wait for my R400, I will look forward to it as I have an 06 Polo as a run around.

Private sale or to a dealer?

Back to my dealer.
Did you lose much on it?
-
Bet you took quite a hit on the old GTI? Is the R400 actually happening?
-
Bought cash sold for cash, took a hit, but having just seen a well specced 2014 for £21.5k with 7k miles I let mine go.
-
Damo was your GTI Manual or DSG?

Manual

So is this a sale to minimise further depreciation so you still have a decent lump sum to put towards the 400 or is it just a case of getting a bit bored of the GTI?
-
Combination of both really, I would have lost another £3k if I kept the car to next year.
-
Is the R400 a certainty to go into production?!?
-
That's what I have been told, late Sept or early Oct for orders, with delivery 2016, not confirmed yet but possibly 250 only for the UK.

That could make them very collectable, do we know if they are going to be LHD only? 250 isn't many and it surprise me if VW engineered them for RHD if they are only going to be 250 destined for the UK.
I can't wait to see the R400
