Title: Central Locking Issue
Post by: laurenceyon on 05 August 2015, 13:10
Hi All

I own a 91' 16V Golf with central locking as standard.

The air tube connecting to the central locking pump has popped off, and I can't find the said air tube to plug back in...

Can anybody shed any light on the whereabouts of these tubes?

This black/green air tide has become disconnected. Where does it connect back to so my central locking will start working again?

surely the pipe it fell off is local to the pump ? i would think in where the cables in your picture go

the fuel flap can be unlocked by reaching in from the rear seat, feel towards the hatchback
slightly behind the fuel flap there is a steel square loop, pull it towards the hatchback it will open
the lock

There's a t-piece connector for the vac pipes about the distance of that pipe away hidden in the rear panel, think it's come off that.

Yeah there is, a little green one IIRC. I recently reconnected mine.

Still doesn't work.

Hi Guys

Thanks for your help.

The T-connector had popped off. I have now reconnected the vaccum pipes and the central locking is working.

However, i've had to disconnect the pump due to some seriously shoddy aftermarket door handles... FML.

Here's a photograph taken from last night, the previous owner had a poor taste in wheel selection (Why would you ever take the original BBS RA's off in exchange for these?) - I have every intention of putting a set of BBS RM's on her.
