so, i'm almost ready to get the rims sorted but don't really want to spend £1000's getting original vw monzas. just wondered if anyone has had any decent replicas or if it's worth paying for a decent refurb on the current ones which have the usual whiteworm and a few scuffs and knocks

Personally I would refurb the Monza's
There are several companies now offering very good OEM finishes
Replicas tend to be heavier and the paint quality will also be poor
Also it will help with the resale value if you have the original factory wheels

Have you double checked they are actually Genuine originals as that is a great price.

I would say refurb. The replicas don't look as good. The thing to spot is the large rim, it's just not as slightly as on the genuine wheels.

Definitely genuine and original, the seller 'parts depot' is next door and, iirc, affiliated to the Audi main dealer in Crewe, I've had loads of stuff at bargain prices from them over the years, great place
