Title: Help with gearbox

Hi I'm going too put a new clutch and box on my 1.6 mk4 but been told it will need timing up is this right thanks in advance

I've just done one on the 1.6(AKL), no will not need timing up.. but the clutch will need aligning.

Who ever has told you that is having you on. Align, yes; time up, no.
