Title: Timing belt or chain

Can anyone tell me if the mk6 1600s golf ( 2009 )  has a belt or a Chain and if it's a chain does it have the same problems as the mk6 GTI with the tensioner

It depends on which engine 1.6 TSI petrol the same as 2.0 TSI are all chain 1.6 TDI diesel are timing belt.
