This thread has been raised before so apologise for asking for help again. I have badly kerbed the nearside front Monza damaging one spoke avoiding a driver who had cut a corner. Any help much appreciated if anyone can recommend a repair specialist in Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire area. There are a few about so it about trying to sort out the professionals from the cowboys. Many thanks in advance.

Well, in the absence of any advice bit the bullet and sent the wheel to Perfection Group at Whetstone, Leicestershire LE8 6NU. Saw them at work with their mobile unit at the local VW garage when they refurbed some 'normal' alloys on cars going onto the forecourt. Not the cheapest quote so hope they get it right! Will provide an update in due course with pics if I learn how to do that.

Do post up some pics when you get them back. Always good to know of decent wheel refurbers out there, and similarly the not so good ones to avoid - hopefully for you the former will be the case.
Pics are easy to post. Start a Photobucket or Flickr account and then copy and post IMG code (photobucket) or BBC code (Flickr) into your post.

Well got the alloy back - turn round in 4 days and that includes fedex there and back to me. Very pleased with the result and they charged less than originally suggested as not as bad as they thought when they got the wheel. So think they are honest in their trading. Free collection and delivery as well. Would recommend them based on my experience. First try with photos and not the best quality from my phone so hope it works.

if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you so i have a rough idea? i purchased a MK6 GTI almost 2 years ago and never got round to get the wheels corrected as they had been badly kerbed by the previous owner (potentially me too to be honest)

Looks a good job done.
I love Monza Shadows but because of the large flat area of diamond cut face, even a slight kerbing makes a real mess. Anyway, they look good as new!

Ive seen a gti if i do a deal with a gti that im viewing soon it has cerbed alloys...was looking for this sort of thread...thanks..thats a proper transformation there

Also interested to know how much it set you back?

Cost £100 and that included collection and delivery. Need to pack the wheel well for collection by courier. Fortunately had some bubble wrap and cardboard and lots of parcel tape.
