Title: Front mount intercooler
Post by: turbokid23 on 20 July 2015, 12:55
After being away for 2 years am back and can't find a decent intercooler for my aum, do I go twin one side or one each side? Also it's only going to be stage two on a k03s, also want it to fit nice but don't want the big ££££ tag

I have a twin side it uses less piping which means less lag. Cheers

Welly cooler with alloy pipe work and silicone hoses of ebay cost about £250 all in.

I'm running a stage 2 K03s and used all the TT/S3 tubing (inlet manifold is the opposite way round) reduces the piping.
Still get a bit of lag but its not too bad at all.

just watch the pipe sizes as not all are the same. twin passes seem to come in 2" and 2.5".
I dont think I need to tell you what one will give you more joy!

I use the THS twin pass as it was the best fitting cooler out there at the time with a standard bumper

As above, I've had a THS intercooler fitted for a couple of years now - very neat solution and a quality bit of kit that comes with a full set of comprehensive instructions too! You do need to do a little bit of bumper trimming, I managed to get mine about 90% but gave up at the time and haven't been bothered to revisit since. I really should make the effort ho-hum.
