Title: Sunroof adjustment
Post by: dadrathers on 19 July 2015, 18:39
Just fitted a new OE sunroof seal and the front part fits tightly against the roof but the rear part of the seal won't quite rise up to meet the roof. It is as if the new seal is so stiff that the front is not squashing up enough to allow the back to come up fully. Does that make sense?

There is adjustment on the sunroof for level and for left to right but does not appear to be any for front to back.

Am i correct? Will the front bit eventually squash up more with use and allow the back to close properly?

Just does not look right as is.

Cheers.

You should be able to adjust just the rear to sit up more with the screws to the rear of the underside of the panel. Other than that all I can think of is that you may have jumped a tooth on the winding handle and it causing it to stop before the roof is fully shut???
