How long does it usually take to receive a confopirmed build week? Ordered my car on 17 June and status still says with the factory
-
It will stay at 'Stage 2' unconfirmed Build week until about four weeks prior to the factory confirmed Build week.
-
I ordered my car start of March and only went to confirmed build mid June for a build week confirmed 20th July. It's been a long wait.......
-
Ok cheers gents

As above, confirmed build week notification comes 4 weeks prior to actual build. Here's a breakdown of all the stages (as quoted from another source on here):
1: processing order - as it sounds.
2: with the factory - parts are being ordered and are awaiting supply dates
3: BW confirmed - all parts are at factory and they've confirmed a date for build.
4: Build in progress - as it sounds, although very often skipped on the tracker as actual build is only a couple of days. States is takes 4 weeks from start of build to delivery.
5a: in transit:left the factory - on it's way to Emden.
5b: in transit:shipping - at Emden waiting a boat. Normally received 48 hours after 5a.
5c: in transit:nearly here - on boat to either Grimsby, Tyne or Sheerness depending on dealer location. At this stage VW can give you the name of the boat, but it sometimes skips this stage. Now states 10 days to dealer.
6. Arrived in the UK - as stated, takes up to 10 days apparently, although they try and do it within 7.
7. At dealer - just needs PDI and valet and is ready for you.

My VW Tracker says the same as yours. But my dealer sent me a video of his own VW screen.Showing original build date week 39,brought forward to week 35.

Mine was built on the 15th according to the tracker and I've had 5c (10 days) to dealer note today. Sounds really fast to me. Must have got lucky with shipping slots or something. Not moaning! I just don't think I'll be able to hang on for 65 plates...

My tracker tells me building on 3 August. Ordered mid-June so not bad going!
-
I ordered mine on May 29th, so similar turnaround. Very efficient compared to some of the stories on here.

You guys are really lucky with your turnaround times and I'm guessing we will get the extra kit as standards ie winter pack, sat nav, keyless. Will go nicely alongside my GTI PP in pearl black, Dynaudio, dynamic chassis, climate windscreen and telephone upgrade and hopefully free as well.

Agree these are good turnaround times, which is really the way it should be.

Just hoping it's worth the wait, was in two minds between the GTI PP and the R to be honest

I hope it's worth it too. Nice spec on your PP. Good colour choice

Getting excited now.
If mine is built w/c 3 August can I expect it to reach the UK at the beginning of September?

Yep. 4 weeks from start of build to delivery to dealership is the norm.

Excellent. Cheers.
