Don't know if it's a bargain or not, or the quality or completeness of the kit, but spotted this on fleabay...

No connection to the seller etc.

I thought this was extremely difficult to code? I could be wrong though. Price isn't bad for a genuine kit

Think I might ask them to send me price for the estate camera....

Apparently not according to our man who knows a thing or ten about these things - quoted from a thread earlier this year:
to enable cam just code:
10 Einparkhilfe Byte 02, set Bit 4 to 1
5F Informationselektr. Byte 19, set Bit 4 to 1

Yeah I did a quick search afterwards and realised the complicated one was retro fitting a nav system
-
Yes, the nav system is still looking like a way of being cracked from what I've seen.
The dealer fit add on box system looks to be the only way to go still there which means you're stuck with the smaller screen.
back to the rear camera sold by Silverwagen, as they're a VW dealership I wonder if they can provide the parts slightly cheaper avoiding eBay fees by buying over the phone directly  not that I'd condone that sort of thing mind.
-
That German trick box thing looks like it overcame the Navpro retro fit problem.
The only thing it wouldn't do was give you a display on the MFD.
-
So you no longer have to tap into other circuits to bypass the security?
Interesting.
I must do some more research here to suss out the costs.
