Title: Year compatibility between mk3 gti vr6

I am looking to buy a 1998 VW GTI VR6 that has 137k on it to use as a parts car for my 1995. Can anyone think of some discrepancies i may run into switching parts across? and most likely an engine swap will happen also.Thanks in advance.
