Hi guys, can anyone shed some light on racetubes? I've just put on a sportex backbox but I'd like it just somewhat louder.
How much do they affect emmisions? Mot's coming up next month so I need to know
Cheers

Doesn't it replace the middle silencer? Don't think you'll fail on emissions, more likely fail on excess dB noise.

I had one on my leon 1.8t. The rest of the exhaust was standard and it barely made a difference in noise. Maybe a little more noise when cold. It's the middle section after the cat so doesn't affect emissions. Bear in mind these 'racetubes' are just the same straight through pipes fitted to the diesel equivalent and can be got from your local motor factors or ecp.
