Ok so had my mate round the other week taking out small dents from other people opening their doors on my car!
These dents stick out like a sore thumb once my car is clean so every time I clean it I can see them and it makes me angry!
Low and behold only 2 weeks after having 2/3 dents removed I have another 2!!!!!!!!!! It wouldn't be so bad however I don't park my car in a car park during the week and If I do need to, then I make sure I park miles from anyone else or in a very big space!
Tempted to buy a hummer and use the boot as an entry point just so i can park it between 2 cars and the basta*** won't even be able to get to their doors to be able to dent mine!!
If anyone is considering moving to Oxford, I suggest you either put bash guards on your doors or buy a motorbike!!!

for some people it is have some respect for other peoples car !!! twice its happened to me one has took a big chunk out of my drivers side door handle  and the second time i was actually sitting in my car as the idiot open his door into mine  lucky it polished out

It happened to me so many times with my Mk5, that when I got this car, I decided I would go to extraordinary lengths to park as far away as possible from any other car. When I have passengers in the car, and we go into a car park, they take the p!ss out of me whilst I am 'carefully' selecting a parking space in some far flung corner. But I don't care!! Dent free doors are just reward.

Same happened to me on the school run. I was sat in the car when some careless woman flung her door open right into my passenger door. I couldn't help but give her a full on "you stupid cow!" look. Fortunately there was no damage but no thanks to her

I've only had my car a month and there's already a ding on the rear bumper! I parked my car (on Sainsbury's car park) as far away from another car as possible on Sunday morning. Came back ten minutes later and someone had let a shopping trolley roll into my car! I'm still royally pissed off!

Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this! If we ever go to the supermarket, I always park the car in the most out of the way place or if it's busy & I have to park next to someone I make sure I pick the most expensive cars in the car park to park next too. :)

I drop my wife off at the door, go and park up in the best space I can, then wait in the car. If there are no good spaces I'll go for a lap round the ring road and then go back to pick her up when she phones.

And that approach gets you out of doing the shopping, crafty!
Thought someone had dinged my door yesterday on the school run. Came back to see some massive 4x4 squeezed into a smart car sized space!! On approaching the driver's side I noticed a vertical line of disturbance in the layer of pollen/dirt on the my door. Closer inspection revealed it was unscathed. Lucky escape.
