Title: Mark 2 golf fitting bike carbs

Hi, trying to fit bike carbs to KR block and fuel inlet is resting on top of the water hose housing leaving a gap of about 1/4 inch off the manifold. The carbs have been welded onto the manifold and we don't have enough angle to clear the hose. I think the options are to cut the carbs off and re angle them or somehow modify the plastic housing for the hose. Both are looking quite costly. Any suggestions?

make up a custom coolant hose flange out of alloy.
