Title: Oil Leak
Post by: bryanhickman7777 on 07 July 2015, 13:00
Ive been having an oil leak (since new filter was fitted)
Because of the leak it has been affecting my crank sensor (two in two weeks), the VW garage who fitted crank sensor have said ideally the leak needs sorting out, we dont do oil leaks. It could do with a pressure wash underneath to isolate leak.

Any where in the west midlands that can diagnose my oil leak?
I used to go to midland VW.
But there very busy and need it sorting tomorrow.

Surely the oil filter hasn't been correctly tightened if that is when the leak arose?

Take it back to whoever serviced it.

There is a o-ring at the oilfilter (depending on what engine) Number 19: http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1658&set=1682&ein=1996&f=166&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=1&grf=011550121&bf=11550&hgug=115&ug=15&parent_id=793472
