Hiya folks,
I bought the above car yesterday from a used car dealer in Nottinghamshire.I live in St.Helens, about 100 miles from dealer so didn't have a chance to view.I decided to leave a deposit over the phone as I'd been looking for a well specced 5 door Pirelli with low mileage. The car is spot on but on the drive home it was apparent that it wasn't standard.I'm ashamed to say I hadn't even lifted the bonnet when collecting the car.I knew it had a Milltek exhaust but didn't expect it to drive like it did.It is seriously fast.I have owned an S3 and a Mk6 Golf R in the past and it feels a fair bit faster than those.
It may be that I have been driving a GTD for the last year but this is spinning up it's wheels in 3rd when I put my foot down. It's DSG by the way.Previous owner must have been an enthusiast as the car is really spot on in every way, even down to having four P-Zeros.
It has a carbon air intake with APR branding.I'm not really into the tuning scene so don't know where to look for tell tale signs of the black arts.

Well, chances are it's got a panel filter along with that carbon feed, you mentioned an exhaust so likely hood it's at stage 1 tuning. This should net you around 280bhp I believe which is more than a Golf R or S3 at stock tuning.
The fact it is also FWD instead of 4motion will also make it feel more lively. Best thing I can suggest is to get a picture up of your engine bay so we can look at what other clues are lurking there...
Or just post pictures of your Pirelli, always worth a look!

Better late than never.A few pics of the Pirelli Edition I bought a couple of months ago.
The road springs are blue, does that suggest suspension fettling?I'm honestly a bit clueless to mods. It goes like sh!t off a shovel and sounds great.I just wish I had got more info on the work that has been done. And my old Mk2!

call the local apr dealer to where you bought the car and local revo dealer to see if they have ever mapped the car  or write a letter to previous owner

Tried contacting the guy via Facebook but no reply. Just hope it doesn't go bang!Had it into my local specialist,he said it was spot on.He showed me underneath when it was up on the ramp. All bushes have been replaced with polyurethane. Lovely car but rides like a sled, very stiff.

Faster than these(in the dry!)

It wasn't mine,i hope not anyway!

Currently got this on Pistonheads if anyone is looking for a fine example of a Pirelli!

Looks lovely. I've got an ed 30 with apr remap and it's very quick.
Why are you selling it if you don't mind me asking; you've not had it that long according to this thread.

I rarely keep a car for more than a year,it's a bad habit(and costly). The previous owner got in touch on Facebook,he was able to tell me what he'd had done. The remap was done by Stealth Racing and rated at 320bhp and 330 lbs. ft. of torque. He also said the car has the DSG remap also. I just fancy a change. I had seen a lovely BMW D3 Coupe but it has already sold.
