Title: Creaking noise from front of car
Post by: Obbzi on 29 June 2015, 00:05
Over the last few days I have noticed a sort of creaking noise coming from the front end. It seems to be when at low speed and turning ie parking. Could it just be bushes?

Anyone else had something similar?

Yes, I've had something that sounds very similar, occur on 3 separate recent occasions.  Sounds like it's from the front end, almost as if there's something jammed or caught under the car resulting in a creaking noise.  I've looked and there's nothing that shouldn't be there.  It's happened once when turning to pull out of a parallel parking space, once when turning at slow speed going up the ramps in a multi-story, and most recently on braking from about 30mph drving along a straight.  Lasted about 5 mins each time and then was fine.  The car is going in for 3rd service this week or next so will mention it to VW.
