Title: exhaust help, gti
Post by: Dipesh2031 on 28 June 2015, 13:11
Hi,

Just bought a gti, sold my old broken gtd, got killed on PX but gti had too many options to pass up on.

Need your guys help on exhaust.

I've heard millteks non res cat back, sounds a bit tame to me? plus it's a bit more pricy than this.

this sounds great for a catback? smooth sound, few pops here and there, has a nice loud sound without being raspy.

What do you guys think? it's cheaper than a milltek too at £610

Personally I like the Miltek Non Res Cat back on mine. Cuts the perfect balance between giving the noise you want when pressing on but not noisy when rolling through town. It's certainly better than stock.

I have had a cobra non res on a my last car, a Mk1 leon Cupra R and it was loud, but suited that car. Quality was very good.

I am with Mick on this.

I have the full Milltek non resonated and it sounds great. Town driving or non spirited it doesn't boom, but growls nicely when pressing on . Although I cant comment from experience, I have heard (sic) that the resonated is a bit too much like stock.
