Title: Silver Pretorias
Post by: Wo-Wo on 28 June 2015, 11:26
Has anyone either seen or painted the Pretorias silver? I was never a fan of the gunmetal finish on my edi35, so this will be getting done as soon as mines delivered.

Any photoshop gurus on here that could mock it up?

What colour is your R going to be Neil (I need a gentle reminder)?

I think wheel colour is affected quite a lot by the car paint colour.
A bit of contrast is good.

Tornado Red, I've always done the mirrors on my cars black so I had planned on this for the R too along with the lower chrome strip on the front bumper but I thought seeing as the car comes with silver trim I'd go silver on the wheels instead.

Gunmetal never looks clean and as some of you may recall my edi35 was mint but the wheel always let it down IMO.

I actually think the oem colour of the Prets will look great against TR.  Sometimes if all the accents and wheels are the same colour and tone, it can make the car look a bit flat or two dimensional if you know what I mean. But I can see where you are coming from.

I'm toying with swapping the mirrors for gloss black caps which would mean the front lip would have to be done too, but I'll see if I like the silver bits against the DBP first.

I think I'll shall wait until I have the car in any case just to be sure.

The local wheel specialist branch does a same day customisation service so I'll. e getting them to do them I think.

A guy at work has a red R and Pretorias. They suit the colour very well.
