So I've ordered my new GTD with standard Nagaros, but now thinking to upgrade to the Santiagos, what you guys think??
I'm stumped lol
-
Both wheels look great. As your asking for opinions I'd stick with the Nagaros and enjoy a better less harsh ride and less to pay for tyre replacement.
-
Or stick with the 18s and go for the Tech Pack??
Decisions Decisions

Indeed.
These are life's problems that we like pondering over.Dont forget pics when car arrives whatever spec.

Ha ha yea I know mate, real problems, I should be ashamed :embarrassed:
-
The gtd nogaros are in my opinion the best looking wheel for the mk7. I'd save the money and get something else like rear camera and tech pack.
-
Santiagos look great, are a pain in the arse to clean and have expensive tyres.
Nogaros look great, much easier to clean and much cheaper tyres.
-
Tough one. I went with the Santiagosas on my Gti, but that's because I didn't like the Std Austin's, but the Nogaro's look quite good. if it helps the Sati's look absolutely stunning on my White Gti and I don't think the ride is too bad, but then I have always had hot hatches.

Santiagos on a GTI as the Ausitns aren't pretty.
Nogaros on a GTD and revel in the fact that Santiagos look better but are a massive pain in the arse to clean and you've saved a grand. Plus your tyres will be much much cheaper on 18's.
Nogaros plus spacers look even better.
You're literally flushing a grand down the toilet with 19" alloys unless you plan on selling the car privately after xx number of years.
Go for the tech pack instead, or better still save the grand towards your next car which will probably only be a year or so away...

So I went for your last suggestion, went for the Nagaros only and saved my £1000 towards the next car lol cheers bud
I just hope I last at least a year!!

William Hill wouldn't give me good odds on it!

So today I cracked like a BIG egg
Phoned my dealer today and added the Santiagos, also added car net aswell for the sake of £100

19s all the way for me, doubly so if you buy a GTi as the Austin's are nasty.
I wanted to buy something I knew all the lease buyers wouldn't touch. :P

I went for them for that exact reason mate, seen a good few GTDs around and not one had the 19s, I like to be a bit different
