Title: Turbo lag
Post by: RossM92 on 25 June 2015, 22:10
Hi guys,

I have a mk4 golf gti 1.8T I'm having problems with my turbo. Quick run through, my engine management light came of for my lambda sensor and mass airflow sensor to be changed so I replaced them right away hoping that would solve the problem, unfortunately it never, after two days of driving the car was running rich (thanks to the help on this) I easily fixed that by replacing the rivets on my secondry air pump. The car turns over smooth and runs smoothly but when I put the foot down to enjoy the car between 3rd and 4th gear roughly around 3 to 5 rev mark it loses all the power and within seconds boost again, is there anyway to fix this or this a warming for a new turbo or fixed by remap?

Thanks

scan it/get it scanned, if its only when in boost then I'd be looking at the dump valve, actuator or the turbo itself.

did you replace the MAF with a new one or a used one?

I just tried PMing you, but suspect you don't have sufficient posts for messages to work.

I live in Edinburgh, I have Vagcom, happy to help if I can.
