Title: Help! Mark 3 Roof bars

Hi,
I just posted this on the main VW board but think it might be best to post here too! (sorry new to the site!!)

I have just purchased Thule roof bars from Ebay for my Mk 3 VR6.  See here:

When trying to fit them they seem too short.  What am i doing wrong?!!
I am now wondering if the problem is that i have a sunroof as one website i searched said there was no Thule roof bars that fitted a Golf Mark 3 with a sunroof.

Have you looked at the buyers guide on the Thule website?

Thanks JV.  I have just checked the website and it says there are no recommended products for  mk 3 Golf  (3 door or 5 door)  This may just mean they don't sell them anymore?   I'm sure lots of mk 3 Golfs have roof bars (but not sure about the sunroof though )

Mk3 roof bars are different lengths front and rear.The rear one is shorter so maybe you are trying to fit a rear to the front ?.
