Right then, seems the rears are starting to feather on the inside edges  and the Pirellis werent the greatest in the wet, made a funny orange light come on the dash board. :lipsrsealed:
So thinking of Stick some Uniroyal Rainsport 3s on - anyone ran them ?
Also, time for some yellow light ( its a habit of mine ) I am going to film the fogs, but anyone recommend a set of Yellow sidelights ( 501s i think ) and can i stick LED ones on without issues ?
Thanks in advance !

You know my thoughts on the UniRoyals
As long as you get CANBUS LED's then you'll be fine
Worst case is you take another trip to Wales and I'll sort the coding :afro:

cheers chris !
Must admit i couldnt remember who and what someone said about the Uniroyals, guessing it was you thne Rhys ? and good ?
And i need Canbus friendly bulbs then or non LED

I'v just stuck another pair on the front after 15k miles
The rears have done at least that and still have approx 4mm of tread left

I've just fitted a set of Good Year Eagle FI's on my Passat and so far they seem pretty good for the money.
If you are getting feathering on the inside of the rears, get the geometry checked after having new tyres fitted. I've just had my Golf done at the dealers for £48 and it drives like a new car again.

Our old Touran ate rear bushes. So check that.
Rainsports are awesome on greasy roads. I've had the 2's.
Eagle F1s are a great summer tyre, but you need to be aware of the downside in the winter. They are next to useless on snow.

I have a winter wheel/tyre combo for winter.

Cheers all, will get some mre use out of the Pirellis before junking them and going for Uniroyals
and thanks for the tip about the VW alignment - bet its not £48 here
