Hey guys, fired up my car to go home from work this afternoon and i began to notice a noise when i was accelerating to 2k revs and when i would let the engine brake itself from just above 2k rev to about 1.5k rev! the noise sounded like it was coming from in behind the dash or in the footwell, was definetly drivers side anyway! the noise kinda sounded like the noise u get when you used to put a playing card in your cycle bike back wheel!
anyone had this before?
Thanks
Dan

Could be the soundaktor. There have been loads of issues with buzzing noises coming from it.
-
As above, but could also be the knee airbag. I've had both!
-
Mine was\is knee airbag
-
Try your car in normal mode, so the sound aktuator is disabled, if it still rattles then it's that. Mine does this at about 1500 rpm.
-
okay guys will try disabling soundaktor! how did you guys get it sorted on the car?
-
I had both. Knee airbag actually turned out to be a loose vent concealed by the knee airbag
Try putting some pressure on the squishy cover of then knee airbag with your right hand when you are coasting.
If it is the airbag you might be able to modulate or stop the sound temporarily like I could

Think I'm gonna take it to my local dealership and see what they are saying about it! Would I be able to get it looked at under warranty or would it cost me guys??
-
That's a warranty issue. It could also be an aircon pipe rattling on the bulkhead.

Bit of an update guys! I have noticed that the noise is only occurring on start ups in the mornings till the car has heated up properly! Could this be a problem with the choke or what?
