Hi Guys
I just bought a Helios Blue Campaign to add to my growing fleet of 16v mark 2 and GLI cabby. I just can't help myself!
I have a quick and rather stupid question. I picked up the car and drove about 20 miles back home. On tick over when the car is warm, it still makes that brub brub brub noise of a car on full choke rather than a smooth tickover. It sounds as though it could be the automatic enrichment device not switching off.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Graham

Feck Off!!!

IS it standard engine wise?? No trick cams or anything??

I think it is standard Justin but cannot be sure. Probably the easiest idea would be to run the car and check the MPG on the MFA, but I ain't even sure that the MFA works as I have only just got it and had no time to check it out.
I think with a high lift cam you get lumpy idling but this is a steady throb which sounds to me like overfuelling.

Almost like its hunting do you mean??? Guess you could try out all the usuals like cleaning out the throttle body, ISV etc. Check for any vacuum leaks etc? Worth a try.

Cheers Justin - I'll give it a go.
