Couldn't find anything related around here nor on the mk7 forum so has anyone noticed or had this issue? Basically, each time I am turning on the engine and I press the air recirculation button, the amber light comes on as usual then in the next second it turns off. If I press again on the button, the light turns on again and stays like that until I press the button again to turn it off (as you would expect to work anyway). Just to mention that the automatic recirculation option is unticked so no reason why it would automatically switch off by itself.

There is something about auto recirc and reverse cant remember what it is though.
-
It's got nothing to do with reverse. It does it even when driving, let's say I start the engine and I drive off for a while and then push the button to activate recirculation. The led goes on for a sec and then goes off. If I press it the second time it stays on and the recirculation is enabled until I turn it off from the button.

My recirc goes on first time and stays on.

So does mine, does it give you any indication in the touch screen why it may turn it off again?
The thing about revers and recirculation is just the other way round - it is turned on while you reverse if it is not already. They introduced this so you would not suck in your own exhaust fumes when reversing ;)

No indication on the screen, just the amber confirmation LED below the button.
-
mine does this, I then have to push it again and it stays on, never knew why, probably never gonna

Thanks for confirming this Graham. At least I know that my climate control is not broken, but it looks like a general behaviour of the mk7.
-
Hmm.. Mines does this as well I blamed the wife

Even if you go into the setup?

I assume by setup you mean the climate menu. It doesn't show anything except the AUTO disappearing briefly then reappearing.
