Hi
I ordered my GTI PP at start on March and despite giving an estimated delivery for first week in June I'm still waiting for a build date, stuck on stage 2 on the tracker. I've been tempted to get my deposit back and walk away but keep giving it longer hoping I'll at least get a fixed build date. My dealer keeps telling me it's scheduled for build later this month but we'll see.
My question is I noticed people are talking about newer gti getting sat nav, winter pack and keyless, all options I've not ordered (pp, Dynaudio, dynamic chassis, heated front window). I'm wondering whether the only positive is I'll get the additional now standard options for free, or will only be for cars later in the year.

Looks like you've struck lucky, build week 22has just passed so if yours isn't built yet you will indeed get the new included standard equipment.
Hang on if you can it will be worth it these golf 7's are great cars.

Yes as stated, as you are still unconfirmed build week, and whatever week it now gets built, your car will get the MY2016 changes which include the DNS (with bigger screen 6.5"), Keyless and Winter Pack now as standard. That's got to be a bonus worth the longer wait.

I agree with Booth11 - my dealer e-mailed on Thursday to confirm all of the 2016MY will be added to my BW25 car - £1515 of extras for free - got to be worth it!

And possibly a bit better resale value further down the line to reflect the later (higher) spec with any luck
Win win!

Win win!
Not if you're an R owner-to-be  Sorry, am bitter and twisted about the scandialous standard spec upgrade (lack of), Tech Pack price discrimination

Personally I still think the R will have some unadvertised extras post BW22, and it will be interesting to see if the first one we hear about being delivered has keyless and winter pack but sans nav. I have a feeling it might.
I'd rather save £600 odd quid and have a cheaper R myself though!

Thanks for the comments, and the extras will certainly make the waiting a bit easier. I'm off now to tick another day off the calander. As you say it'll be worth the wait.
