Did a full on detail 2 weeks ago with the following:

CG bug wash as pre wash
CG Mr Pink TBM wash
Meguairs Clay bar
Prima Amigo Glaze
CG Vintage Butter wet wax
Windows with CG window clean

After all the effort 2 weeks ago happy a quick wash still gets ok results :)

CG Butter Wet Wax is a long time favourite if mine.  Love the slick look it gives.

My first time using butter wet wax but it's so easy to use! And great beading too

The quickie qd is my new favourite product and adds a good top up gloss/wetness

Yeah it's the easiest wax of any to apply.  As it's a liquid I sometimes apply it with a DA, to get a lovely even thin layer, then buff off by hand.  I must admit I've not used any since last year as I'm hooked on a hard wax (DJ Blue Velvet Pro) at the moment.  I gave the car a coat of that a couple weeks ago, but as you have reminded me how great the Butter Wet looks, I might break out the bottle and layer it on top of the DJ next weekend

Applied another layer of poorboys wheel sealant (a product I wanted to buy 10 years ago when I first got into detailing but never owned a car with wheels that justified a wheel sealant...until I got my GTI with monzas haha!)

Whilst searching on eBay one day...I found a seller who was selling quite a few new genuine VW parts but very cheap! It seemed like it was old stock that they were clearing out....but I slowly started to buy all these little bits and bobs

Firstly, I did a thorough clean of the interior.

I used the armorall interior foam cleaner to clean the carpets and did a thorough vacuum. Then usually once a week I do a quick vacuum using the portable car vac (black and decker model from Amazon) and that keeps the car clean. The portable vac is surprisingly very good! Has more power if you start engine but it is good to quickly vac the car in 5mins

I use the Dr Leather wipes every few months but the Meguairs wipes are amazing! Such a nice clean smell and leaves a super matte finish on dash plastics, stereo, leather etc

(http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u449/sunnygti1/Mobile%20Uploads/image3_zpsdgzgtfc3.jpg) (http://s1068.photobucket.com/user/sunnygti1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image3_zpsdgzgtfc3.jpg.html)

Also fitted the Genuine VW golf stainless steel door sills. Again from eBay. Brand new but only £30...tape measure to ensure I stick them in the middle!

(http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u449/sunnygti1/Mobile%20Uploads/image4_zpsvkto8njz.jpg) (http://s1068.photobucket.com/user/sunnygti1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image4_zpsvkto8njz.jpg.html)

Rubber mats also genuine VW parts and so easier to shake off and keep clean.

And a genuine VW boot liner!

And Genuine headlight protectors...after a stone chip smashing my previous golf's headlights and costing me over £100 I was happy to spend £15 on these

LED sidelights from ultra-hids on ebay

Headlight dipped beam are Osram nightbreakers which are much better than the stock lights I had. Much brighter and light shines further on road. There is a slight blue tint to them, but they look super yellow in this pic compared to the sidelights

I see you managed to change the sidelights, can you give me any tips on how to extract the original bulbs?

Thanks...! Yeh the rear diffuser is my favourite. It's a really good fit as it's a genuine Rieger part. And it's also slightly deeper so makes the car look lower.

Just need a final bit of carbon for the front end so it looks balanced with the mirrors and rear.

Just not sure what to get for the front...

It's quite fiddly but you don't need to twist or turn the original bulb holder.

It is actually a pull off fitting. You pull it straight out but it's a tight fit so you pull and also wobble it if it makes sense... lol

How did you manage to get your hand in on the side of the fuse box?
