So, I ring the dealerIi purchased my car from to ask if they have a touch-up pen to repair some stone chips. Certainly sir they say, we have a Pacific Blue here for you. Err, really ? My car is Red .
After much to-ing and fro-ing it seems my car is listed as Pacific Blue against my Chassis number.
Can anyone remind me where the spec sheet/sticker is located in the car please that lists the build spec/options etc. I am assuming that will also give the colour. I thought it was in the boot but can't see it.
Cheers :)

Usually inside front of your service book or on a white sticker in the spare wheel well :)

What Rhyso said... If memory serves me it's in the boot where the spare wheel is located. There should be a white sticker with printed codes listed. One of them is the paint code.

Cheers
Had a quick look under the spare wheel earlier, but nothing there. Although, it is all carpeted, wouldn't have thought I would have to remove the carpet in the wheel well.

In my mk6, the sticker is on the flat area to the left of the spare wheel well, under the boot carpet, and not actually in the spare wheel well. Probably worth checking there as well.
As others have said, check in the front of your service book, as you should also have a sticker giving the codes for the vehicle spec of your car in there. If your GTD is red, it'll be tornado red, and the paint code for TR is LY3D.
Still doesn't explain why VW have your car listed as Pacific Blue. What are the colour details shown as on your V5 registration document?

You can also go check on Erwin. Will cost €5 but it will give the complete build for your VIN number

On the mk7, the spare wheel sticker is under the trim that runs across the rear of the boot. It's the trim that touches the sealing rubber and has the little flap with the boot lock behind it. To remove it, pull it straight up.
