Title: Open fog grills
Post by: markos on 31 May 2015, 09:09
saw a nice gti yesterday with these on, made me think about trying some of that on mine.

anybody fitted these and had problems with them? i've heard stories about issues it can cause

the one i saw had some red detail showing through from somewhere which looked kinda cool... what would that be?

Ive looked at getting these also, to my understanding, they are designed to let more air in the side of the bumper thus creating more airflow, whta bad stoires have you heared about?

apparently they were open on the early model gtis but vw changed to closed covers... must have been done for a reason.

plus there's this whole debate which i can't follow to be honest, can't really tell which way this argument went!

to be honest, i don't think it would have that much affect on the cooling and it would be done for purely aesthetic reasons (and i'm keen to know what can be painted behind there like the red one i saw)

all that said, i won't be doing it if it causes any issues they mentioned in that discussion.
